A series of studies have been developed showing the negative influence of thermal discomfort in occupants’ productivity,
well-being and motivation. Sick building syndrome is the condition caused by inadequate ventilation which causes numerous complaints from building occupants.
ASHRAE standard 55 and standard 62 specify the minimum requirements to guarantee the best conditions based on two major parameters:
ventilation rate (airflow) and temperature.
International standards for workplace ergonomics recommend temperatures in the range of 23 to 26ºC (73 to 79ºF) in summertime and 20ºC to 23.5ºC
(68 to 73ºF) in wintertime with an average airflow below 0.15m/s.
The EVCB series is the Neptronic controller family dedicated to VAV systems. These controllers are equipped with 70 in.lb actuators suitable for most
VAV terminal units. They also include outputs for reheat. Additionally, the two most popular communication protocols, BACnet and Modbus,
are embedded and will let you connect to any Building Management System (BMS) and any integration platform.
